@dave_universetf @jhebert All I know is the bank recently decided to email the different co-signers each others' passwords, as some kind of inexplicable misunderstanding of how two-factor authentication is supposed to work. Bless their little hearts.

There has been some quite spammy spam making its way past @gmail filters in the last few weeks.

Another great discussion of the same topic, this one more directly focused on containers and standardization:

Data is not the new oil. It's the new crude oil. Data just like oil has to be refined before it's of use (cleaned, labeled, etc) Karthik Tadinada, Chief Operating Officer, Featurespace Panel at ScaleUp: AI #AI #risk #fraud #ML #ScaleUpAI #DataScience #UX #CX

In security software UX is often secondary, but props to: 1) Duo mobile team for easy transfer of MFA tokens to a new device simple (via local encryption + Google Drive) and 2) LastPass for easy cli-based login (using password + MFA in pin-entry mode)

Reading this I kept coming back to the idea that containers are supposed to provide to software the amazing benefits we received in shipping. But then you layer in people and weird incentive structures and it all gets tricky. https://t.co/qlyPy1e1Yt

Many great tech companies have built super advanced proprietary internal platforms for engineers. But with so much going on in the infra/tooling space, I wonder if the value of having very custom stuff might diminish or even become negative.

Some nice work done by our research group at @FeaturespaceLtd on explainable ML, highlighting areas of uncertainty rather than areas of confidence https://t.co/QZ94LxY6X0

One of the most interesting essays I've read this year. Not surprisingly, since cperciva is one of the smartest people I know. (Once again, HN plays its traditional role of supplying the inspiringly mistaken opinion.) https://t.co/b0VWqmlr7V

We have a trick where we'll stop sharing, let someone else share, then re-share. This works reliably to unfreeze the stream, and by now all of our employees know this. But the feed freezes again so quickly this is no longer viable.

Zoom screen sharing has become horrifically unreliable at work. I had to bail on Zoom screen sharing 3 times in the past 2 days. This was bad for a while, but now it is borderline unusable. For all its faults, WebEx screen sharing is 100%.

My new post "On Externalizing Cloud Trust" https://t.co/JzNaxS9t00 is a bit philosophical, but definitely fun; it journeys from notional trust to cloud threat models :-) Enjoy!
