We’ve allowed lobbying to get out of control. We’ve allowed the media to get out of control. We’ve allowed, often bot-fuelled, to social media fringe trends dictate national policy. In short, we’ve lost sight of what is good and true.
Liz Truss may be the most comically inept, dumb, dishonest & charisma-free political in modern British history. I used to follow UK politics day in, day out, for a living, but I haven’t lived there for a decade & I still don’t understand how Truss (!) became prime minister (!!)

Farmers should pay inheritance tax, but they need to be paid fairly for their work to enable them to do so. Right now, most farms' income is ridiculously low for the effort and risk involved. That's the battle that needs to be had.

If you're paying 5p for your Christmas veg, that 5p includes transport from the farm to the packer, prep, packaging, refrigeration, transport to the distribution centre, storage, transport to the shop, light, heat, shop wages etc. THAT'S why farmers can't afford inheritance tax.
