I always found it puzzling how language models learn so much from next-token prediction, while video models learn so little from next frame prediction. Maybe it's because LLMs are actually brain scanners in disguise. Idle musings in my new blog post:

uv has really changed my entire relationship with python. Before: installing garbage system wide, fighting with versions and that one app breaking when I upgrade, managing a bunch of venvs. Now: run `uvx open-webui serve`. oh this looks cool. that's it. Thanks @astral_sh <3.
