I know Richardson isn't everyone's 1st choice, but there are positives. Change was needed and the owners have moved quickly to get a replacement. He's got experience of success in this league and brought his own staff, got to give him a fair crack and get behind him #ReadingFC

Let's hope we get Wigan Richardson not Rotherham Richardson 🤣 In all seriousness we have to hope he can galvinse the team & gets backed properly by the ownership. All we can do is support him and the team and give him a shot, he's got know-how at this level at least #readingfc

@rustyLDN After years of bad news, fans hoped for an appointment to lift the mood and spark optimism. This one doesn’t do that. Of course we’ll back him, but pretending there’s no reason for questions feels short-sighted.

New manager is all sorted already then according to Couhig on the podcast this evening. I mean at least they've moved quickly to get a new man in. Not sure if it'll be the right man going by rumours but only time will tell. We'll have no choice but to give him a shot #readingfc

🤔 Think #ReadingFC fans absolutely have the right to be unhappy with the prospect of Richardson as manager. His style of football being one that we just got rid of and should be desperately trying to move away from and doesn’t suit the squad we have. It’s just a bad fit.

If we do go for Leam Richardson as it is rumoured, it'd be pretty uninspiring. As much as you want to give any new manager a fair crack of course, it doesn't scream we'll be challenging at the top of the league in 18 months to me #readingfc

Whilst it's clearly the right decision, it goes without saying that the next in line has to be the right appointment, not just the most convenient or obvious option. The decision needs to be one that's had the proper due diligence done and done well. Bloomfield might be the

Couldn't agree with this more! #readingfc
Regardless of his capabilities and credentials, Matt Bloomfield as Reading’s new manager sends out entirely the wrong message. Jobs for the Boys, cronyism, it won’t wash with the vast majority of fans anymore. They have GOT to show us their intent and ambition on this #ReadingFC

You really feel we need someone with experience now, whether we get that or not is a different story #readingfc

The worry now is Couhig gives the job to someone he knows (Bloomfield) without any sort of thoughts or speaking to a few options. Nothing against Bloomfield in particular, but it's just such a key appointment you'd like to think there would be a thorough process #readingfc

Absolutely the right decision to sack Hunt, it's a shame that it ended the way it did, a great servant to the club as a player, in his Academy work, and stepping in at the club's darkest hour. However the football has been so poor and results equally bad, correct call #readingfc

Stepped up when we were at our very lowest. Got us within inches of the play-offs in the most difficult circumstances. Lived and breathed this football club. Proud to be our manager. One of the good guys. Thank you and good luck, Noel 🫡 #readingfc

This is the point I was trying to make, I think this is spot on #readingfc
I’m as Hunt Out as anyone, but think he deserves more respect than “Sacked in the morning” chants, considering the only reason he took the job in the first place is because he was the only option in our dire situation last season… #readingfc

Thought Williams was very good again today, won everything in the air and at least tried to bring the ball out from the back and play a pass forward rather than just lump it #readingfc

Really disappointing and frustrating just how poor that was, #readingfc at least salvaging a point against a poor Rovers side but struggling to get going all afternoon. Desperately short on quality and intensity. Hoped we'd build on the last two: a good attacking performance and

Only showed any sort of urgency or tempo when we went behind, it was all too late then. It's just soo far away from being good enough, what's even more depressing is Doncaster looked really poor today and we still couldn't get control of the game or create anything #readingfc

Reading fans arguing and fighting amongst themselves coming out of the ground, sums up the mood around the place at the moment. The atmosphere feels worse than under Dai right now, at least then everyone was pulling in the same direction against him #readingfc

That was shit, change is desperately needed NOW. Don't like the "Sacked in the morning" chants towards Hunt who obviously loves the club, but I do understand it and it's the right decision moving forward #readingfc

Painful to watch how many times we've hit the ball aimlessly long and never won it. It's so simple we have decent technical midfielders, get the ball down and move it with some tempo #readingfc
