Liberalism offers no solutions, just magical thinking, constant excuses for why better things aren't possible, and a smug sense of self-satisfaction as things keep going to hell. Communism and anti-imperialism offer hope for a better world.
Anti imperialism makes you less misanthropic. Because you understand the environmental problem and the war problem are not because of "humanity" but because of empire and "humanity" can easily solve them once imperialism is dumped.
