@ian_rodd @RCPCHtweets @PremierWessex @rcpsych @RCEMLearning @6bd20de2260e4ea A fantastic point made by Mr Rory Nicholson (ophthalmology) in the panel discussion - everyone gets stressed by eye trauma, but ultimately it is hugely very treatable and worst comes to worst we have two eyes! Mental health outcomes are much worse but cause less excitement in ED?

And we're back! Day 2 of PREMIER kicks off with Dr Ian Rodd giving an incredible talk, with powerful messages about how we see young people (and ourselves) with mental health challenges. Humans are not robots and not all problems respond to a cup of tea! @ian_rodd @PremierWessex

🚨Adverse events from procedural #sedation are rare - occurring <1% of the time High-quality care can mitigate the risk of adverse outcomes Review these resources from @EMSCImprovement Pediatric Education and Advocacy Kit (PEAK): Procedural Sedation https://t.co/I7pFyFiDRj

Hello my name is…. Time to include full name, title & role Patients need to know who is treating them. Colleagues need to know who they’re talking to. This is increasingly so as workforce changes mean roles may be opaque! Equally important in ‘flash teams’ in acute care

Society's move to cashless payments may have had an unintended positive side effect, surgeons say - fewer children needing operations or procedures to remove swallowed coins. https://t.co/ihTKfQ8sqb
