After reading Red Plenty what I really want is a book with no unifying narrative or grand conclusion, but is just a list of stupid things the Soviets did for communism.
@KirkegaardEmil I do like the “triumph of rational central planning” detail that the reason it’s so shallow is because it had to be finished before the end of the five year plan, a totally arbitrary and pointless deadline.
