Irrigation #farmers in the #MurrayDarling produce 40% of our food from just 2% of the agricultural land compared to the Worldwide figure of 20%. THAT'S 10 TIMES MORE PRODUCTION. The @AlboMP Gov't & Minister @tanya_plibersek want to reduce farmers' water with unnecessary buybacks.

Why does our new ag minister also hold the Emergency Management portfolio? We are facing a huge threat from FMD & there appears to be little response from govt. Shouldn’t our minister be solely responsible for ag given its importance? Is this reflective of govt attitude to ag?
