Delighted @UKLabour Government ending the historic injustice of British Coal Staff Superannuation scheme. 2,400 ex-mineworkers in WY will get an average £100 weekly uplift to their pensions. Mineworkers were central to our communities and it’s right they receive a fair pension.
I am proud that Labour is today ending the injustice of the BCSSS, by returning the £2.3bn investment reserve. 40,000 ex-mineworkers and their families will receive an average £100 weekly uplift to their pensions, thanks to this historic decision by the Labour government.
