Thanks for taking the time to visit, and thanks also to @MayorEastMids and Joanna White MP. As well as talking about skills it was great to discuss how off-site, modern methods of construction can support a move to a cleaner, more energy efficient construction sector.
Today I visited @Laing_ORourke’s Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction to launch our four regional skills pilots. This government is focussed on building the skills needed to deliver good jobs and reindustrialise communities right across the UK.

15 months since we began construction on the site we are thrilled to reach this milestone. This is the twelfth project we have delivered for the University of Oxford and once complete will boost research and teaching in the humanities at Oxford.
Today we celebrated a new milestone for the Schwarzman Centre!. The Centre, which began construction in January 2023, has reached its highest point and was commemorated with a 'topping out' ceremony. Find out more about the ceremony here:
