This is a necessary step in supporting economic opportunity and improving public health. Through Senate Bill 118 passed in 2023 funds were allocated to the Health districts. Northern Nevada Public Health agreed to budget 100k to reduce barriers for street vendors.
The city of Long Beach plans to provide dozens of free food carts to vendors as part of its program that aims to support sidewalk vendors
