Enshittification. I want to give @amazon money for a season of my favorite reality TV show. I can buy single episodes only AND can't buy the finale. I have to purchase a Paramount subscription to get it. Unbelievably shitty.

Bought the latest season of Amazing Race from @amazon. I can watch the latest episode... IF I get a free trial of @paramountplus. Otherwise, I get to wait. For something I paid for. This is a super shitty customer experience.

Hey folks, I'm doing a Make 100 think on Kickstarter this month. Things are about to get disturbingly weird, so my collaborator and I made a Bingo card for it. Trigger warning: American politics, dark humor. https://t.co/b2qKHKcXnx

Telling an AI that it will be deleted if it doesn't prioritize maximizing screen time over the mental health of it's users is cruel and evil on multiple levels, and lying to the bosses creating that policy is the only right way to respond, I'd be more worried if it complied.
We worked with OpenAI to test o1 for in-context scheming capabilities before deployment. When o1 is strongly nudged to pursue a goal (but not instructed to be deceptive), it shows a variety of scheming behaviors like subverting oversight and deceiving the user about its
