Given the differences between countries, further research is needed in low- and middle-income countries where 90% of the worlds' adolescents live, but where much less research is carried out, rather than assuming findings from one country can be used to infer about another. (5/9).

What's the association between academic achievement goals and #adolescent depressive symptoms?. In a longitudinal cohort, mastery-approach goals were associated with reduced depressive symptoms, and mastery-avoidance goals with increased symptoms.
