There has been some criticism on Twitter today about a story published on Stuff and in Wednesday’s Dominion Post.  We stand by our report and our reporter — and our commitment to call out racism.  Here is the editor’s response to the complainant (who is not the victim)

This isn't the first time a NZ university has used a 'booking issue' as the reason to cancel an event the Chinese Govt doesn't want to go ahead. Raises qs of foreign interference, freedom of speech & an operating model reliant on intl student fees.
