Just spoke with Shane Jones, who said the Attorney-General 'sought to school me' about comity, and he will now change his approach to focus on policy (i.e 'bats, blind frogs') rather than judges' personalities. @nzherald

New from me: Nearly three years since the ban on smoking and vaping in cars with kids came into force, not a single fine has been issued. Police chose not to enforce it - but have now u-turned after the police minister intervened.

A bit more info: The scholarships include mentoring by senior Press Gallery journalists and experiencing key events in a political journalists' diary, such as the Prime Minister's post-Cabinet press conference, the "bridge run" of media stand-ups and Question Time.

@nzherald's The Front Page podcast has jumped to NZME's 6th most popular - just behind juggernauts like ZM, ZB, and Hauraki. Still the Herald's number 1 poddy. Pretty bloody stoked with that!

Christopher Luxon justifies calling business people on trade trips under Labour "C list" and "tag-alongs", who "weren't able to convert well enough" Comments weren't a slip of the tongue as the PM proactively said similar things to both @Jasonwalls92 & I https://t.co/o2YOJ21Nyb

The PM’s plane has had another brake down. There’s a fuse issue which means we’ve been grounded during the refuelling stop in PNG. Waiting for an updated but the Prime Minister left the airport in a motorcade, and is flying to Japan, via Hong Kong, commercially.
