A key difference between WWE and AEW I haven’t seen anyone talk about, is that AEW has lost Kenny and Cody and are still consistently putting out quality content weekly. But just imagine if WWE lost Roman Reigns. Just imagine that.
@SO0u0o
It would be so fucking heartbreaking. To raise a baby and then find out it’s probably not feesible to keep it. But it 100% sees you as its mother.
I hate the “AEW can do no wrong in their fans eyes” excuse. Cause it’s just a blatant lie. Every AEW fan has at least one thing AEW do that they LOATHE.
AEW: *Has a good card that any major company would kill for.
AEW fan: *Refuses to buy because it’s not tailored perfectly to their specific fantasy booking
Remember kids. When WWE runs a shitty, long winded program, you just gotta let it play out. But when CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, and Adam Cole have only been in AEW for a little over a month and haven’t held a title, it’s the end of the world.
AEW Fans in March: Where is the Dark Order. They should be with Hangman. The were an important part of his story and they aren’t getting the time they deserve.
AEW Fans in August: Why are Dark Order getting a push? They’re so boring. Why are they taking up Hangman’s time?
Remember that day? Remember that week? Remember that month? The slow realization, day to day that it was really happening. The smallest sliver of doubt even up till the last minute. But that show opened, and even before the music hit. You knew it was real. Never forget that.
AEW has truly impacted professional wrestling for the better. Being able to see the some of the biggest stars in the world pop up anywhere from an indie show to across the ocean is so freaking awesome and I will never take that for granted. Collaboration is good for us all.
Dave Meltzer can understand the rich physical storytelling of Omega/Okada, but he can’t understand why MJF turning on Regal is better for future programs than Jon Moxley bludgeoning an old man?
@BGeneus
@KennyOmegamanX
That’s a pretty disrespectful way to invoke his death. It’s a rough one, I know. But this has nothing to do with that. This doesn’t take away from that. Everyone is sad about his passing, but this is a silly post about silly wrestling. You are the one that needs to read the room.
Making fun of Raj Giri for saying Hikaru Shida is dating Kenny Omega
Making fun of Ryan Satin with Barber jokes
Making fun of Brad Shepard’s “Unleashed” gimmick
Making fun of Niko Exxtra for getting cut in line at NXT
These are the four pillars of the Wrestling Twitter
Dalton Castle vs Chris Jericho is such an insane prospect for a match, I really don’t feel like the fanbase appreciates just how wild some of the match ups we get are.
Anna Jay was unfortunately spinning wheels in Dark Order but she's going to benefit a LOT being in the JAS.
Chris Jericho is a master when it comes to mentoring people and Anna won't be an exception.
God, remember a few years ago when people complained about AEW wasting a contract on Ethan Page. And then people would complain when he was given a match with Kenny? Yeah. But I’m sure EVERYONE here is very legitimately sad he’s gone.
I just wanted to post this to just sorta give an example of what I’m talking about. And I don’t wanna shit on WrestleTalk, because for the most part I enjoy their content. But saying Swerve vs Danielson is an average Dynamite, but John Cena simply being on NXT is a super show…
Here’s the problem with AEW having such a high bar. So many people take the fact that 90% of AEW is amazing for granted. To some that is the default, and unimpressive. So they really pay the good stuff no mind. Which, I’m sorry, makes you a shitty fan.
"The Power Peacock pumping Peacock Power!"
Dalton Castle is so charming, how can you not love this guy. If I'm Tony Khan, he's my mainstay for the ROH brand.
The Elite: *Refuse to work with someone who assaulted them for mental and physical health reasons, leaving millions of hypothetical dollars on the table*
Fans: Fuck you, you pussies. It was only a little assault. You’re leaving money on the table and depriving the fans.
Do you notice how when talking about Dynamite, they name two matches that are going to happen and be really good. But when they talk about NXT, they just name names. Not what they’re doing on the show, or providing to the product. Just putting the names on the show is enough.
AEW gives you a reason to watch Dark. They advertise it. They put hot stars on it. Main Event isn’t advertised. Everyone on it are ice cold. So I don’t think buried is the right word. Jeff Hardy is just being neglected.
Isn't it funny how AEW die hards love watching Moxley, Tay Conti, Omega and others on AEW Dark and then proceed onto say,
"jeFf hArdY iS oN mAin eVenT, hE iS bUrieD??"
I may have said this before. But with all of these old heads leaving WWE and going to AEW, or returning to ROH or NJPW or the indies. It feels like wrestling is healing. Pretty much since AEW started, it’s been helping rehab wrestling.
Collision has
Claudio vs Archer
KOR vs Bandit Kieth
DANIELSON VS SHIBATA
But some people still took time out of their day to cry about Zak Knight vs Angelo Parker. That’s wild to me. I’m convinced some people care more about what they don’t like than what they do like.
@UltimaShadowX
He just appears in the plot halfway through. He like was around as a side character, but he didn’t have a face or a voice until halfway through, and then he was in every scene. I feel like it was written in to Matt Mercers contract that his character couldn’t die.
@BackupHangman
There’s only one answer and it’s booking. Barrett should have had a title reign purely on the back of the fact that he had 7 guys in his corner at all times. But they had them lose at every turn.
@SeanRossSapp
King of Tables match. Whoever puts their opponent through the most tables within a time limit. Can be singles, multiman, tag. I’ve always lived the idea of this match.
I don’t get people who say “I want Suzuki/Danielson to have more of a build”. Why? Why does it need one? They don’t have any reason to feud right now. Shoehorning in a build would only be a detriment.
CM Punk: *Walks out of WWE for mental and physical health reasons, leaving millions of dollars on the table and depriving the fans of 7 years of his career*
Fans: He did the right thing. He needed to get out of that situation.
I love the idea that WWE is trying to artificially recreate that time that they booked something so stupid that fans literally would not let them book it. And the WWE fans are just going along with it. What happened to shame?

There’s a difference between breaking quarantine to protest quarantine and breaking quarantine to protest something important.
I’m sorry. Saying “wrestling” and “hospital” should not be “This is what a wrestling show should be” parameters. Those are literally less than the bare minimum.
"They said wrestling"
"They said hospital"
"They had a 22 minute wrestling match"
"The referees have names"
"Theres less camera cuts"
Welcome back to what an actual wrestling show should look like guys!
