You can see a variety of bots posting the story, often times not even the full article URL, just the link to the website lol

Of course AI isn't necessary to create a fake news site, but it definitely speeds up the process for someone who's non-technical to create a convincing looking news site and get it out quickly to create a narrative.

Every link on the site goes back to another fake article, none of the "about us" or "contact" pages have been created. There's a sign-in button that goes to a Vercel 404 page

The article claims to have spoken to his coworkers already, and mentions that he's already raised $500 (USD??) for a gofundme. No such gofundme exists, and it's unlikely that one would have been setup given the recency of the event.

I think this is a prominent example of AI slop disinformation. Following the Bondi Beach shooting, the man who stopped one of the gunman has not yet been officially named, yet there's a link to a "news" website that's naming the hero.

If you're a real VC, you have to follow some legal rules, file some paperwork, and you know, actually build a product. If you're a Web3 investor, none of it matters, you can make up anything you want. Fudge the numbers, go crazy, buy $PISS coin and rug pull it, who cares.

Not that I would regularly recommend taking out a Personal loan, but if your Student loans are more than 10% interest and you aren't taking advantage of any of the income-based repayment or deferrals, then maybe getting a personal loan (based on your credit score obv) works
