Very few players can lace up their boots and transcend a sport both in this country and globally. Sinc has done just that — both as a player and a person. She is known and admired by all Canadians and has been pivotal in every single country stopping moment 1/3

What a fantastic goal @sheridandorge !!
A BIG conference 4-0 win for @sheridandorge and the @CUWWSOC Falcons today. A "banger" of a strike from Sheridan for her 2nd career NCAA goal. The play x play guy was as excited as we were (yes, we were there). How many times does he say her name in the clip? FIVE!!!

✅ No matter if you play D1, D2, D3, NAIA or Juco, you are one of the very few who have made it to the College level. You should be really proud of yourself! Don't forget that! #Collegesoccer

Preseason will judge you more than you know. 🚨 Incoming Freshmen, You don’t get months to prepare for your first game. You don’t get months of training with your coach before your first game. At best, if you’re lucky ,you get 2 weeks of training to make an impression before

As an athlete, you need to support your teammates after they make mistakes. Getting upset isn’t going to help them play better. By encouraging and uplifting your teammates, you help your team succeed.

The difference between interested & invested players shows in the summer. Interested players need perfect circumstances(too hot/cold, no music, too busy). Invested players just need a place to work & get better (gym, track, weight room) & they do. How do you use your off-season?!

A coach can only do so much to help an athlete improve. Ultimately, the success of an athlete comes down to their inner drive. Once they become intrinsically motivated, they can get the most out of their coach and reach their full potential.

Kids who receive good parenting go on to become mentally strong athletes. As a parent, you lay the foundation for your child’s mindset and character. If you want your children to succeed in sports and in life, you need to provide them with love, support, and discipline.

Kids become athletes because they want it. Because of their ability & desire if they enjoy it. If they don’t enjoy it, no amount of begging or bribing will ever make them athletes. They can’t play for a parent, coach, trainer or relative. It’s their journey & only their journey!

Four ways to overcome the fear of failure in games: 1. Play for fun and improvement. 2. Focus only on what you can control. 3. Believe in yourself and have courage. 4. Have a positive attitude about failure (understand that failure isn’t fatal, and that it helps you learn).

I’ve been asked occasionally by friends and family what I do in my offseason as a D3 head coach. I must have some downtime, right? It’s a fair assumption, I don’t take any offense - but I thought it might be informative for me to share my day today as an example:
