The same is true for emotional reactions and damaging thoughts. If you pause instead of lashing out (e.g., not yelling when angry, not withdrawing when anxious), you interrupt the old pattern and lay down a new one + the rewiring effect is stronger.
Neuroplasticity works faster under high emotional intensity. If you can resist a craving when itโs at its peak, you get a bigger rewiring effect. This is why the hardest moments matter most, theyโre not setbacks, theyโre high-voltage opportunities to change.

Just wrote a substack post discussing Carl Jungโs philosophy on the shadow and how it connects with David R. Hawkins philosophy on guilt being one of the lowest vibrational state to exist in. Link below
Shame and guilt are two of the lowest energy states for a human being to operate in. Thereโs a reason why they are so heavily weaponized in politics.

The worst thing you can do is go back to school if you feel directionless. 2-4 years of more wasted potential just so you can โfeelโ productive. Youโre prolonging the inevitable. Learn a skill. Take an entry job. Freelance. Build. Make money, donโt waste it.
