Thank you, Senator. You have just summarized the feeling of every U.S. citizen living in the region. The Department of State is not aligned with itself as embassies here in UAE are not telling people to evacuate.
I worked at State Dept before and the safety of Americans overseas is the highest responsibility. Warnings to citizens to evacuate 3 days into this war, when airspace is closed, is a clear sign of ZERO strategy and planning by the Trump admin. Now Americans have limited options

UPDATE: Note this small oil tanker is known as part of the Iranian oil refined products smuggling operation, and was put under US sanctions in December (US Treasury linked it to the Iranian Ministry of Defense). So the reported "hit" may not be what it looks at first glance.
BREAKING: Oman says a *small* oil products tanker was hit about five nautical miles from its coast. The tanker is the Skylight (IMO 9330020). Oman evacuated 20-strong crew, including 5 Iranians... (irony!)

Reports of missiles intercepted across the skies of the UAE and falling debris hitting populated areas. But this one on Palm Jumeirah is not falling debris. This appears to be an attack on a civilian target.
