Check it out. @dreamwieber just released a really beautiful video exploring CellWalk on the M5 Apple Vision pro. It's a really great channel covering development, design and Apple Vision Pro. Let's support him 😃

My NEW video is on Cell Walk for Apple Vision Pro – one of my favorite apps! It brings you inside the microscopic world 🤯 It's one of the first apps to take advantage of the new M5 chip – let's check it out! https://t.co/tk58SnTIj3

I think about Vinge's Rainbows End a lot these days. It predicted this moment in time: spatial computing, ai, and a revolution in biology. People learning to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing world. I miss this optimistic era of of sci-fi, it really inspired young tim😁

Here is the NASA M2M WSA-ENLIL+Cone model for the fast CME from the X5.1 flare today. Speed: 1856 km/s. Impact: Nov 12th (tomorrow) ~20h UTC +/- 7hrs. Up to G4 storm level. Impressive!

The intermediate/physical render-target is quite a bit bigger. Looks squashed due to rasterization-rate mapping.

A bit more about CellWalk on the M5 Apple Vision Pro. Here are CellWalk's drawables/render-target on M2 (left) vs M5 (right). In terms of CompositorServices.LayerRenderer.renderQuality: - M2 = 0.385 (system default) - M5 = 0.8 (CellWalk sets this manually on M5) I'll dial it

Need to recapture my Spatial Persona, I look so confused haha. Excited to build new features to fully utilize the new chip!

CellWalk is a great way to test the performance of the new M5 Apple Vision Pro. I just updated it for M5! On M5 we’re rendering at >1.5× the resolution and detail of M2 (and I'll push it further once I get an M5). Billions of atoms, it should look super sharp. The Apple

Logitech Muse looks pretty accurate–mm scale. We can build some cool experiences with it. Thanks for the answer @dreamwieber !

The occlusion feature on Apple Vision Pro and widgets is pretty neat. We already had our first snow last week, which means it's totally appropriate to put up Christmas decorations 😅

I quietly released new features for Apple Vision Pro in the last update: Widgets and on-device AI explanations powered by Apple Intelligence. I don't have an M5 yet, has anyone tried the app on the M5 Apple Vision Pro?! How is it? more resolution?!

ReadMap and Access are ~Escapable and ~Copyable. They can't escape the scope of tickPostCommit (but we can share them with borrowing and inout as we are with updateEntityTransforms).

I've been integrating Swift's experimental lifetimes (Rust) support into our engine. Very cool In tickPostCommit I'm using it to safely access read, write buffers from async code. updateEntityTransforms borrows the move-only types. The buffers are protected from escaping scope.
