As we're now 1/2 way through #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth, it's time to rethink security and what it means to us. We're known as the Lucky Country in Australia, but luck doesn't mean much when it comes to security. We can do better with a few simple steps.

It's great to see @SUSE and @Oracle (!!) stepping in and especially great to see @AlmaLinux and @rocky_linux continue. Red Hat have this one wrong and have definitely lost a lot of community goodwill.

This is a decent read of the Red Hat situation: https://t.co/LBJ5mKHLjI To me, Red Hat's changes are a sign their business model needed work. They tried to force sales with CentOS changes and now pouring fuel on the fire.

Over the last few months, I’ve been working on a little project with the ABC here in Australia to help people visualise their exposure in data breaches. This has just gone live today and I reckon they’ve done an amazing job, check it out:

If you work in IT security (or "cyber" if you've had marketing involved), please, please don't just send crude Nessus (or similar) scan results to customers. You haven't value added. Your job is to read these reports and evaluate applicability!

Heard about Artificial Intelligence (AI) but not really sure where it fits? Will AI take over the world? Can I use AI for my website? If you've asked any (or all!) of these questions, have a read of our guide on AI for 2023: https://t.co/8f3pBWpqRV

Thought I'd try out @superloopau at the new house, this was clearly a mistake. Signup process was smooth, but so far a calamity of errors and confusion afterwards. I'm also told it's normal to get an oops error in their console...

Asking GPT-4 to generate new potential mental illnesses people might develop in the future that are result of AI use. The answers are kind of insightful.

OpenAI did what used to be considered impossible. They made people want to use Bing.

Finally! My @AnkerMake M5 3D printer has arrived. Initial impressions, very well constructed and easy to assemble. Now to see how it prints!

ChatGPT can write stories and then tell DALLE-2 prompts to illustrate them. I asked it to write a children's story about "a robot that wanted to be a human." Here's the story it came up with: (0/11)

From now on the main value of all human work will be in providing the training data for AI.

Looks like it's "fill in the blanks day", @spotify's error message isn't overly helpful without internet connectivity ;)

https://t.co/P6ifOPHJzU This was an absolutely fascinating read, not only about the M1 GPU but the way the driver was developed! Nice work @LinaAsahi!
