A new study is helping to identify treatment options to improve the lung function of premature babies, after it was determined survivors of preterm birth were at risk of declining lung health.

2/ 50% of those with a BDR by oscillometry did not have a positive result by spirometry, - This group had a higher symptom burden 🤧, with normal 👍 spirometry. 🫁 Take home:: Consider oscillometry when spiro is normal and reactive airways are suspected! 👏 @tiffkbradshaw
1/ We compared bronchodilator responses by oscillometry and spirometry and found poor agreement. - Of those with a BDR by spirometry, only 1/3 had a BDR by oscillometry (using the ERS 2020 thresholds) https://t.co/5O7ifLBSjt
