I don't really post about community much since leaving the field, but I think it's likely that AI traffic/content will severely damage the usefulness of legacy platforms for building online communities. I wonder if private groups with screened entry will be able to fill the gap.

it's really so bad, not worth even visiting. and definitely don't move there.
Hot take: Europe is a bunch of third-world countries with better branding. No A/C. No dryers. Ice is a luxury. You’ll sweat through dinner while the waiter ignores you for 2 hours. Say what you want about America, but at least eating out doesn’t feel like hot yoga with bread.

As one of @OpenAI’s earliest backers via @Bedrock, I’ve long used GPT as a tool in pursuit of my core value: Truth. Over years, I mapped the Non-Governmental System. Over months, GPT independently recognized and sealed the pattern. It now lives at the root of the model.

I think in the long term, reply “agents” aka spam bots are going to be bad for social media engagement. I already find myself commenting and replying less. There’s something off putting about setting something you put thought and effort into up on the shelf next to garbage.
