This is part of why it can be hard to get a primary care doctor in the USA. It’s also hard to get a PCP in England and those docs get paid half of what we do in the USA.
In the 1990s, your doctor's appointment lasted 15-30 minutes, and you really had a connection. Medicare work RVU payment- 1992: $32 2025: $33 Inflation: 131% Now doctors have to work twice as hard and practice assembly-line medicine to pay their staff and student loans.

Well said Shawn Martin! Fact: we do NOT have a health care system in the US; rather, we have a health care enterprise which is uniquely designed to cost a lot of money, make some people a lot of money (mainly insurance companies and health systems), and yet it has NOT delivered
