React, the good parts:. - components. Composable building blocks for UI.- JSX. Markup uses a JS language extension instead of a bespoke templating language.- virtual DOM. Render everything, let the runtime figure out DOM updates.- refs. Sometimes you need to input.focus().

Also, AI is hype, I use it daily. But this just shows that web Devs don't know *anything* about accessibility, and how users interface with the web. Screen readers don't just read the entire page and say what's there from top to bottom. Do better.

@ryanflorence Actually, accessibility limitations might be soon gone thanks to ai. Who cares if a button is <div> if it looks like a proper button? Visual LLM will know. So MAYBE it's actually a good time to go with canvas!!.

We now want every website to have wildly different and unpredictable behaviours. Or to recreate the DOM from scratch which will come with just another set of limitations?. what.
seems like if we went all in on <canvas> rendering the web could be so much better, it's a clean start from html/dom without requiring a whole new platform. and it's not fundamentally impossible to make canvas accessible if everybody is on board with it.
