Employers, consider giving your Black employees a day or two off after the Rittenhouse verdict. Regardless of the outcome, itโs going to be hard for Black people to work and it isnโt fair to expect them to.
Been thinking about this more since a number of people (mostly white!) responded that I don't get it, that it really will be traumatic for black people. I reflect on the several Jewish families I know in France who made smashing successes of themselves out of the Holocaust 1/

This is the same guy who ghosted me repeatedly after promising and scheduling an interview with then Portland mayoral candidate Sarah Iannarone. No real courage here
@thomaschattwill
The amount of information Williams is ignoring about the arrest and trial of Kyle Rittenhouse in order to tweet this, is considerable.
@thomaschattwill
Do we really want to go down the road of treating employees of various races differently? Does he honestly not see the danger there, not to mention the illegality?
@thomaschattwill
So not the point. The point is, if acquitted, Rittenhouse shows that a white kid with an AR-15 can drive to another state, join a posse, shoot 3/killing 2 & face zero legal consequences & a black man, whether George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, et al. Canโt shop or jog w/o being killed.
@thomaschattwill
Shouldnโt matter what race anyone was lol. No one should have been there that night that is for sure. It was an act of self defence tho.
