Bee Monitoring 101 🐝 at St. Edward's State Park I didn't know there are flies that have yellow stripes! Also, much easier to tell the difference between a bee, wasp, and fly from photos than real live observations

Learning Lab @SartoriSTEM w/1st gr teachers today on "Science-itizing" read alouds. We elicited ideas on light w/a fiction story to launch the unit. Ss had such interesting ideas about light/dark! *inspired by @allisonhintz124 & A. Smith's book Mathematizing Children’s Lit
