you don’t have to be eccentric or alternative to be non-binary. you don’t have to be androgynous, either. Or pretty by society’s standards. wrestling with gender identity has no set, linear timeline. you’re non-binary when you’ve decided that’s who you are & no one else has a say.

had a guy tell me he loved his job forewarning until one night a few months into his new post he Slept Walk down a ladder and out of his fucking post and woke up almost a mile away in his underwear in the freezing cold early morning. he was teary eyed recalling it. freaky.

talk to a national park worker for about an hour have a beer or two and then get ready to hear some of the scariest shit you have never dared dream of.
if you talk to any serious hiker they’re like yes demons are real, make sure you don’t walk along a stream for too long, sometimes a witch trails me for miles, avoid wearing bright colors, and pray being entering the forest. the ancient is still very much alive along the edges.
