Arabs aren't even claiming what they are trying to attribute to them. Next they're going to pivot to India. Somalis give cultural items of foreign origin distinct names to denote their foreign nature. We don't need to cope like you and your ilk.

Somali youth in Aden [1873] With his head shaved and donning a Huwasho (upper body wrap) Typically a high number of coastal people shaved their heads. Elders and notables had their heads shaved as well. If you see a historic figure wearing an Cimamaad/Duub they were likely bald

@Abditsover Is there anything more ironic than someone claiming somali culture is based off lies & colonization in support of a racialized classification created by Europeans themselves Cant be upset though we're all products of our enviroment. Those born is the West are historically myopic

Somali women traditionally have their highest loyalty to their clan. Husbands weren't the primary party responsible for a womans wellbeing, her immediate family was. Only men can check other men. What protects Somali women is the fact their husbands have to answer to her family.

@lenatiya The first upload is a photograph from the 1800s of the domestic industry. Taken by one of the earliest cameras developed. In direct contradiction to your erroneous claim that our garbs are a product of foreign imports. Even more amusing you claim our entire culture is imported.

Amazing but never wrote this for colonised Somali people experiencing similar oppression👀 And I respect and appreciate Hadraawi’s litterature. Just interesting . If there is literature he did on our own people, I would like to know and get into it. Just never encountered it.
