I’m sorry, but this kind of posturing is dangerous. It’s disheartening to see an HBCU with such a rich legacy of fighting for equality and justice aligning with efforts that could weaken the very protections that safeguard employees nationwide. This approach seems starkly

The power differential is so great between medical residents and the attendings/programs who determine the future of their careers that protections need to guaranteed by national policy instead of just institutional policy. @NMQF.

As a resident, it’s wills working in an environment where you’re asked to give everything and told to expect nothing in return. #DrNakitaMortimer.

I'll go out on a limb and say that the level of gun violence we're seeing in the first month of 2023 is indicative of a larger issue. Actually, it's probably a combination of several socioeconomic issues that I won't go into right now.

If you're a physician struggling with your mental health, know that you're not alone and that help is available. Let's create a culture where it's okay to prioritize our own well-being. #physicianmentalhealth #selfcare 2/2.

As physicians, we often put the well-being of our patients before our own. But it's crucial that we prioritize our own mental health as well. Physician burnout is a real and serious issue, but it's not something we have to face alone. 1/2.

We owe it to ourselves and each other to acknowledge and address mental health issues. Let’s end the stigma and be open about our struggles, and together we can reach a healthier state of mind. #MentalHealthAwareness #EndTheStigma.

I hope the #NFL has made therapists available for ALL players in the league and I hope that they insist the Bills and Bengals players attend at least one counseling session before returning to play their next game. I hope similar services are provided for Hamlin’s family. 3/5.
