I feel sorry for people in the #SEO SaaS space. SaaS provider: "We built this tool" πŸ› οΈ SEO: "This is AMAZING and will help me so much in my job, thank you!" πŸ˜† SaaS provider: "Can I have $5 for it?" πŸ€” SEO: "Over my dead body you crook! I'd rather do it manually again" 😑 πŸ˜‚

@512banque @JohnMu I would consider scraping Google, but never scrapping them, that would be dangerous. πŸ™ƒ

@thetafferboy Switch it to "Can I have $50,000 for it?" and it seems to get easier.

@thetafferboy Even in an agency the monthly subscription costs stack up way more than they should.

@tjprayner Not particularly, just from a few conversations and seeing people "build in-house" versions of tools they were paying like Β£20 a month for. Like, how little is your time worth?

@thetafferboy But when you do it once, it becomes an addiction. Takes me 5 years to part with $10 a month, then a week to sign up for the same amount for another 17 tools.

@thetafferboy @carlhendy I can never find an SEO tool that does more than one thing I need, so it would be more like 20x$30 p/m. So I make do using 10 different, free tools instead, without much more time needed putting the data together.

@thetafferboy Been there; the question then comes down to β€˜well, okay...so -how long- will it take you?’ + β€˜and what would that cost you in agency fees + to staff?’...

@mickeyc84 Unless you quote the 'body' hours, agree that is equal to or less than the Β£value of outcome, and find the tech solution anyway?
