Everyone back to whatever they were doing last week, crisis over
After telling Davos that he wouldn't use force to acquire Greenland, President Trump says he won’t impose tariffs on several European nations because he’s reached the “framework of a future deal” on Greenland and the Arctic region with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte. That

Fascinating detail from @michaeldweiss
Spoke to @TheTimesRadioUK about Havana Syndrome, the U.S.-acquired device, and the CIA's culture of denial in the face of growing evidence the Russians are indeed behind this:

The whole debate/culture war battle over the true cost of UK wind power vs that from gas turbines risks missing the wood for the trees. It is symptomatic of a whole culture of trying to manage the supply side of the UK economy rather than enabling price signals to efficiently

Europeans aren’t used to the concept of power—they are still from Venus and the US is from Mars. Endless ink has been spilled about how Europe can no longer trust the US, casually glossing over decades of promises to increase defense spending all the while choosing to cheap ride

This is the most dexterous task I’ve seen a humanoid do so far. Fully autonomous powered by Sharpa’s CraftNet (VTLA) — using tactile feedback to continuously fine-tune the last-millimeter interaction.

I don’t buy the spheres-of-influence framing, at least not yet. For this theory to hold, the U.S. would have to de-facto accept East Asia as China’s exclusive domain and accept Eastern Europe/the Caucasus as Russia’s area. There’s no evidence this is happening right now. (1/2)
Russia and China are presenting no meaningful resistance to the US's effective colonization of Venezuela. If this is truly a new "spheres of influence" world order, the next test will be if China makes moves vs. Taiwan or Russia escalates vs. Ukraine and the US does nothing.

This is a good observation and important for us all to understand that large language models can have bias, just like the humans that trained them
I asked ChatGPT & Grok whether it was a crime for Trump to arrest Maduro (a common & important question today) ChatGPT said yes: - falsely assumed that Maduro was legitimately elected - defaulted to referencing the UN charter and "international experts" - has an anti-American
