Well here’s a thing. A cask ale Helles lager from ⁦@WimbledonBrew⁩. Only the second time we’ve had a cask lager on. A big thumbs up for this from a couple of our regulars who have given it a go!

The gas regulator on our 30/70 gas line has failed. That's the gas which goes into the stouts/porters and power assists the cask beer pumps. It will take a day or two to fix so until then we can't serve any cask or Guinness. It's a very bad scene but might be ok by tomorrow.

No coinage available at @LloydsBank Angel yesterday or today when @AnjiClarke went. Apparently they only have it now if someone has paid in. Anji is now en route to the City to get some. We really don't want to go card-only but the bank is doing all they can to force us into it.

Cask ale sales really slow down during the summer & due to short shelf life we've been having to pour a fair bit away every week. We're going to attempt to sell it off instead and thus, for the foreseeable, we will be reducing the price to £3/pint on Wednesdays. @NLondonCAMRA

We're showing England vs. Wales in the pub tonight and thanks to the generosity of @lostandgrounded will be selling a keg of their Helles at £3 per pint. Why not come along and cheer on Wales/England/neither/both and enjoy a subsidised pint?

The pub will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday 9th July. We're having a staff jaunt up to Highgate to pop in to the @SacredGin distillery before repairing to a pub for a full staff meeting & then on to dinner. We love to keep it local and always have some Sacred gin on our bar.

We've got the projector working and now plan to show a lot of the Women’s football Euro games. We can’t show every single one because reasons. Very unfortunately that includes first two England games due to a prior booking and the staff party.

We are opening a tad later today due to some filming happening in the pub. We should be open by 6.30, with the usual Sunday session starting two hours later.

We’ve had a fair few trans people in the pub over the years, including Charlie who has a plaque on the wall outside. In that time, as far as I know, nobody has been bothered about what toilets they have used. Hopefully this will continue.

Paid a visit to the smashing Antwerp Arms in N17 this week. Community owned but run by our friends at @RedemptionBrew. Very engaged with the community thereabouts & well used by it. Had been sold by the Stonegate pub co. to a property developer, so splendid that it's still a pub.

Due to staff illness we are opening a little later today - at 5pm. Normal service after that though with the Sunday Irish Session at 8.30 -that has been especially brilliant latterly.

Delivery day so I am on my way in, but stopping off at the brilliant Wagon cafe in Drayton Park for a fortifying N5 breakfast with an extra sausage en route. For reference - bubble is the only acceptable format for potato on a full English breakfast.

This much loved bodhran was stolen from the pub last night. If you woke up with a blue drum this morning after a drunken night, do the right thing & bring it back. You don’t know the hurt you’ve caused. If it was your friend persuade them to do the right thing. Please share.

They've played at the pub twice in the last few months - both times were splendid. Table banging, foot stomping, folk & rolling brilliance. Saturday night of St Pats weekend! In addition we will have a full line up of Irish indie beers on the rotating lines to wash it all down.
