There is a prediction made here that Grok4 will produce new technologies no later than 8/2026 and new physics discovered no later than 8/2027. If true it also means Grok 4 is currently at a very high capability threshold (ASL-3+?) @AnthropicAI ? @ssi ? Rating please?.

I am proud of what astronomers have done in @sdssurveys with @NSF funding. Mid-scale research is at the scientific frontier, but below the political-decision-making scale. They are the largest scientific projects you can do in academia while remaining purely rational.

It is an admirable and worthy goal to educate the entire public and one that a modern society is wise to keep at the top of its priorities. The form of that education can and will change over time. But restricting education's reach -- in any form -- is wrong-headed.
