This group, which opposes cannabis legalization, has been campaigning against rescheduling. They argue that changes to 280E would free up vast sums for the industry to pour into advertising, lobbying, and expanding its influence, among other concerns (see below).
Rescheduling marijuana will exacerbate any existing crime in our cities and towns. Having one or more medical or recreational dispensaries in a neighborhood is associated with anywhere from a 26%-1452% increased crime rate. Just look at Denver.
