I wrote articles about what a great film The Rocketeer was when it was released; it was completely buried by TII and comic-book fan-base that rejected its sunny optimism and period feel. It's a classic example of pearls before swine; a movie for people who didn't deserve it.

We watched 65 episodes of ‘Inspector Gadget’ without ever seeing Dr. Claws face and it would still take 6 more years before it was finally revealed by an action figure release 🥴

Its view of the future is the one that’s aged the best out of the many from that time
Demolition Man (1993) is way smarter than it gets credit for. A glossy action movie that sneaks in sharp satire about control, censorship, and comfort culture, then wraps it all in Wesley Snipes going full chaos mode. Still weirdly relevant.
