lots of folks asking me for more information about the upcoming taproot wizards marketplace the biggest complaint we heard about ordinals from potential buyers is that it’s too complicated to buy them so we are building this marketplace from the ground up to address this one

Runes transactions were standard under the old rules and would even still be standard for #BIP110 (the proposal that's supposedly aims to curb data embedding). If these guys are serious about stopping data they should block runes.

@hodlonaut it's worse as it is an attack on bitcoin's credibility as a store of value, it's security credibility, and a lynch mob attempt to push changes there is not consensus for. spam is just an annoyance, it all definitionally fits within the block-size. the op returns are 4x smaller.
