The left sided IVC crossed over in front of the aorta and joined the right sided IVC. Don’t commit to clipping any structure till completely certain of origin and supply to the kidney. DVT prophylaxis is important in this case due to narrower lumen of the duplicated IVC.

Experience during dissection :.The left sided IVC was not very distended , one could easily mistake it for a distended gonadal vein , hence don’t clip anything till completely certain. Thick Psoas tendon could look similar .

In this case there were 3 left renal veins , all draining into left sided IVC. Renal artery was single in number , dissected cranial to the upper most vein. Thorough review of the imaging prior to the surgery is of paramount importance.

Pls notice the IVC on CT.

Most people I spoke with here say they just want to get this done with . That’s the problem that ails our nation. People not interested in improving processes . Don’t want to give feedback lest their applications are held up!.

Though a proud follower of our @MEAIndia and @DrSJaishankar and the work they are doing, reality of passport offices hits us once every 10 yrs . #greivance.

I hope someone introspects and addresses. Most issues with applications are very minor. People just moving around in circles with no real solution provided. Senior citizens and minors waiting for hours together with no respite.
