The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration just updated its Atlantic hurricane forecast from May. It now says the earlier projection of 12 to 17 named storms has now increased to 14 to 21 storms. Yup. Nothing to see here. #ClimateCrisis

To help avoid any new wildfires, the Province is increasing the fine for breaking the provincewide burn ban to $25,000. Illegal burning has to stop, and all Nova Scotians need to do their part – follow the burn ban, stay out of the woods and help keep your communities safe.

From @hfxgov: In addition to the Province's wooded area restrictions, the municipality is closing wooded areas of municipal parks and all municipal trails as of 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31. Parks such as Shubie Park, Point Pleasant Park and Admiral Cove Park will be fully closed.
