Ever called on behalf of a friend, loved one, or stranger? It can make asking for help complicated. My new #emca paper in the British Journal of Social Psychology explores why. https://t.co/oQPpPKd1C9

Are you thinking about the Call for Proposals and submitting you protocols for doing EMCA research? Maybe have another read of this by @tennenem and @FionaGrattan about acquiring ethical approval for a CA study into medical reception phone calls. https://t.co/EnIk04BAut

Pandemic has shown that academic books should not be physical only. All books should be ebooks, and publishers need to turn their collections of physical only books into ebooks ASAP. So frustrating when you cannot access fundamental literature, because libraries are closed!

There's an informal ISCA pubs committee #EMCA Skype meetup every Friday. This week we're changing the times up to merge into two gathering times. The first is breakfast-brunch-lunch in Oceania/Asia 9am (CST), 10am (JST), 11am (AEST), 1pm (NZST) and cocktails 6pm (PT) / 9pm (ET).

Help please #emca and #pedagogy friends! I'm teaching a graduate course where the students have an assessed presentation to give. I'm trying to compile some resources to help them out - giving a good research presentation in general + how to do it via Zoom. Suggestions welcomed

Post 2019, on our academic cvs are we supposed to list sourdough breads first, then baguettes, or all together chronologically?

"By viewing the brain as a computer that passively responds to inputs and processes data, we forget that it is an active organ, part of a body that is intervening in the world" Minds/brains are not computers. Computers are an idea produced by our minds. https://t.co/Y7zUbzTlyu

The academic job market is like the Bachelor. Institutions are dating multiple people. If you’re lucky you make it to hometown visits & you begin to imagine your future together. All the while you know they’re dating other people & there’s only one final rose. #AcademicTwitter
