Hottest day of the year - spent showing 3 very lively classes of 6 yr olds around our church. So many questions, so much curiosity, so much fun. I love this age group. But I am now home, pooped, sweaty and ready for some low brow TV.

Gentle start to #GoodFriday with our 9am service @teddparish 17 adults and 6 children used forgiveness/sorry stones for confession, heard the Good Friday story, placed out names on the prayer tree and made bead circles to remember.

We also hold in prayer those whose experience of motherhood is marked by struggle, and those who chose not to become mothers—or had no choice. Today, we give thanks for love where it is found and offer compassion where there is hurt. We are praying for you. #TeddingtonParish

We remember: Those celebrating loving relationships. Those who have lost mothers or children. Those longing to be mothers. Those estranged from family. Those who never knew a mother’s love. Those who mother in many forms—biological, adoptive, spiritual.

Today is Mothering Sunday. For some, this is a day of love and gratitude. For others, it is a day of grief, pain, or complexity. We hold in prayer all who find this day joyful, and all who find it difficult.
