Whether or not they're good, they clearly lack the ability and the tools to diffuse situations. And that's a serious problem. There is no trust on either side of the equation.
This is 3 postseasons in a row where we’ve had a high profile ejection in a critical tournament game. I believe we have good umpires. So, that’s leave one conclusion:.We have not armed our umpires with the ability to diffuse heated situations. This is no longer a coincidence.

They resumed after midnight in 2021, though there was much less game left to be played that night.
Here in Omaha, there is no hard and fast rule for postponing the game to tomorrow. Game can resume after 11, but probably not after midnight. Based on how the weather looks and the fact the loser is supposed to play Arkansas tomorrow, I think they will resume tonight. #LSU.

The most impressive part of this for me is that it was a day game. No shadows, no iffy lighting, just a fastball that couldn't be hit.
Gage Wood's fastball was electric:. • Threw 58 of 71 fastballs for strikes (82%) . • 25 whiffs on 45 swings vs his fastball (56%) . • 18 of his 27 outs came via his fastball . • 13 of his 19 K came via his fastball.

A source has told The Advocate that Paul Skenes plans on attending Monday’s game in Omaha between #LSU and UCLA. The Pirates don’t play on Monday. They start a series with Detroit on Tuesday.

The lesson here is to not draw sweeping conclusions based on two weekends of college baseball. This sport is nothing if not unpredictable.
Last season's College World Series was four teams each from the SEC and ACC. This year: Two SEC, one apiece from Big Ten, Big 12, ACC, Sun Belt, Missouri Valley and independents.
