Paul is conflating two kinds of experts:. - Those that demonstrate high competence, and are rarely called experts (it's superfluous).- Those that do not, and hence must be called experts (otherwise you wouldn't know that they are). People mainly have issues with the second kind.
People who think they no longer depend on trusting experts only survive because they're mistaken. Every time you get on a plane you trust experts implicitly about a million questions you're not even aware of.

This is a weird theoretical argument that sounds okay, but fails to predict anything about reality, because Rust just really is way more safe in practice than any comparable language. Blow is just rationalizing the fact that Rust isn't great for games, which is true.

I don’t understand how anybody can look at this and think “solar isn’t real energy.”. The Sun is ~99.9% of the mass of the solar system. EVERYTHING else is a rounding error.
