if i had a nickel every time Taylor Swift wrote a song about man-made fabrication of real, natural shiny object that was then automatically connected with a relationship without question I'd have two nickels. which isn't a lot but its WEIRD that it happened twice right.

the way he cant drown in the animation until he does and only then he's turned into a real boy. .
in the original story, pinocchio isn’t just a liar, he’s also a performer. he sings, dances, even joins the puppet theater for a while. but he doesn’t get to be “real” until after he stops lying. his whole arc is about the cost of performance and the pursuit of authenticity.
