Texas State opens as a 19 point home favorite again Louisiana Monroe. If we win, as we should, that means the USA home game would be for bowl eligibility. Not the season any of us wanted but finishing 7-6 with a 3rd straight bowl win would be great momentum as we head west!

The national exposure that comes with this is huge. BIG day for Texas State. We aren’t that far removed from playing FCS football and almost never on TV. The progress is still impressive even if it is a down year for football.

The Pac-12 has announced its third media partner: USA Sports. As part of a 5-year deal, USA Network will air 22 football games, 50 men’s basketball and 5-10 women’s basketball games. USA will carry the men’s basketball tourney. USA joins CBS Sports and CW as Pac-12 partners.

I haven’t tweeted about it because it was unconfirmed but supposedly a Louisiana player came to our locker room to continue the fight. That’s why post game press conferences were canceled. Now we see one of their guys is suspended for the season and ant bowl games. 🤔

The @SunBelt went 4-9 against the @MACSports tonight in basketball 7 of those losses were by double digits @TXStateMBB was worst of the bunch with a 35 point beat down I have 100% faith in @kdamp to make the right changes by next season @pac12 Have to make 🏀 a priority!

We had a suspicion of what this season would look like and it was confirmed in game 1. Time to raise money, gather support, and make sure the transition to the PAC is successful in basketball. Good news is we can get a head start. Time for big changes! #txst
