My article in the @IndianExpress: On @PrashantKishor and the politics of dare... After all, we make ourselves according to the ideas we have of our possibilities. Theodore Roosevelt once observed that credit belongs not to the critic who points out how the strong man stumbles,

Stonehenge no more! Had no idea this account existed until today 👏 regular updates on Ejipura Flyover progress. Accounts like this are the need of the hour for ALL Bengaluru (and arguably India) infra projects, with daily geo-tagged images and videos.

Don’t be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make, the better.

Skim read https://t.co/9gVpphHIkl. Largely scientism. Philosophically bankrupt (technically and pejoratively) as in there is zero engagement with the relevant philosophy. It's all assumed uncritically. *Nothing* (!!) about creativity or explanations...never mind universality.

One thing I do differently/more than basically everyone I've ever worked with is to make every single task & subtask an opportunity to learn something new or make something kinda cool. That's a cool thing about computers. You can do the work, or build a thing to make them do it

I have a new blog post about the so-called “tokenizer-free” approach to language modeling and why it’s not tokenizer-free at all. I also talk about why people hate tokenizers so much!

We need more words for how people relate to different ideas about future possibilities. Because “belief/disbelief” doesn’t begin to cover it. Probability tries to reduce to a number what is reality a vast spectrum of differently structured attitudes.
