I'm really excited to share our paper on dengue! An amazing part of this space is the creativity and the partnerships. It is so much fun to push the boundaries of what we can do with wastewater (arboviruses?!?!) and to work with amazing partners in public health and utilities.
1/ Dengue is increasing sharply worldwide, and the range of its mosquito vector is expanding. Our team worked with Miami-Dade County to monitor dengue virus in wastewater; we identified the same serotype in wastewater that was predominant in the community.

We've seen a notable uptick in Influenza B in @WastewaterSCAN sites across the South. Although the levels are still low (as they remained last year) and detection sporadic at most sites, the South is the only region where we've seen onset of IBV in wastewater (6 of 55 sites).
