The mesovort-to-tornado pipeline across Tbird needs to be studied
Four tornadoes have been documented so far from this morning's storms across central Oklahoma. EF1 tornadoes struck Purcell, Shawnee and near Shawnee Twin Lakes, and an EF0 tornado occurred near Lake Thunderbird. Investigation continues in these and other areas of damage. #okwx

Oh how I’ve missed these views (kinda). Quick and crude estimates of accumulation around 1.5 in near Lake Zurich #ilwx . Very wet and dense, so snow to liquid ratios might be on the lower side @NWSChicago

Along these lines, Great Plains supercell environments that produced long track tornadoes during field campaigns were often characterized with stronger flow *normal* to the storms observed motion by a comparable amount I’ll let you ponder this
