My daughter started remote High School and spends all day in front of the computer. Back to back lessons with 5min breaks in between. No social interaction other than family all day. I can see her soul shrivel up in front of my eyes. My heart hurts.

5 years ago today I decided to leave my marriage. I am sharing this so publicly as I wished I would have had positive stories to hold on to. We divorced amicably and have established a supportive and loving co-parenting relationship. My kids are thriving. I am happy.

Dear event organizers, stop the panels. They don’t go deep and feel forced. It’s a lazy way to get busy people on stage. Showing up unprepared is a disservice to the audience. If the person doesn’t want to prepare a talk, make it a 1 on 1 conversation and go deep.

16 years ago today, the father of my children proposed to me. We just told the story in details to our kids (10 and 14) as we are spending Christmas days together in upstate NY. We are amicably divorced and happily co-parenting. Who knew family can come in many shapes and forms.
